Neck Stretches

You can stand or sit whilst carrying out these neck stretches:

 
Neck Rotation Sit up straight in neutral spine position with a tall back and neck and with shoulder blades relaxed down your spine. Turn your head slowly to look to your right and then slowly to your left. Try and increase your range of motion but do not stretch to a point of pain. Repeat 10 times. 
 
 
Neck Tilting Sit up straight in neutral spine position with a tall back and neck and with shoulder blades relaxed down your spine. Tilt your right ear towards your right shoulder without lifting your shoulder upwards to meet your ear and without rotating your head. Repeat this stretch on the left side of your neck. Repeat right and left tilts 10 times.  
Neck flexion and extension Sit up straight. Drop your chin forwards towards your chest and hold for 5 seconds. Slowly tilt your head backwards so that you are looking up at the ceiling and hold this position for 5 seconds. Only do this stretch within a comfortable range of motion. Repeat 10 times.
